Auckland System Management (ASM) is an alliance between Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction. ASM is responsible for maintenance and renewals of the physical infrastructure and technology, and the provision of operational services that run Auckland's state highway network.
The Role:
As the Organisational Performance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culture, performance, and strategic alignment of the ASM. Reporting to the Alliance Manager and leading a team of specialists across People & Culture, Health & Safety, and Communications, you will ensure that ASM is a high-performing, people-focused organisation. Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning operational delivery with strategic goals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You'll also be responsible for:
- Leading the integration of People & Culture, Health & Safety, and Communications to support a high-performing, engaged workforce
- Driving the development and implementation of performance frameworks (including KRAs and KPIs) across the Alliance
- Supporting the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) in delivering on strategic priorities and customer-centric outcomes
- Championing a strong health and safety culture and ensuring compliance with obligations
- Coaching and mentoring leaders to build capability and align team performance with ASM's strategic direction
- Contributing to a collaborative, data-led, and innovative organisational culture
- Representing ASM values and behaviours in all aspects of leadership and delivery
About You:

- A tertiary qualification in HSE, Environmental Sciences, or Business (Human Resources)
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in H&S or organisational performance
- Experience in human resources or stakeholder relationship management (desirable)
- Proven ability to influence executive teams and drive strategic change
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and communication skills
- A collaborative leadership style with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Sound financial and change management capabilities
