Strategic Advisor - Engagement and Impact
We have an exciting opportunity in Te Ihuwaka (the research centre within the Education Review Office) for a Strategic Advisor, Engagement and Impact. This position is focused on communications and stakeholders, to support the translation of our national review insights into real-world impacts. You will be in a unique position to influence positive change across Aotearoa New Zealand's education sector.
What you'll do
You'll lead and deliver key communications and engagement activities, including:
- Driving Te Ihuwaka's Impact Strategy and Plan
- Managing online channels - social media, website, and intranet
- Leading messaging, media liaison, and communications plans
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting team capability
- Producing high-quality publications, reports, and digital content
- Developing innovative communication products and channels
What you'll bring
- Communications and media expertise
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Project leadership and ability to deliver under pressure
- Excellent writing, editing, and attention to detail
- Understanding of the NZ government, public service, and media landscape
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Visio a bonus!)
