Job Description
He aha te tūranga - About the role:
The Monitoring Team is responsible for:
- Monitoring and responding to incoming alerts and notifications from telecare devices and systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, caregivers, and emergency services to ensure we provide the appropriate assistance
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all monitoring activities and incidents
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to telecare devices and systems
- Demonstrating empathy, patience, and a commitment to excellent customer service
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement
This is a permanent, part-time position, working 24 hours per week - 6 hours per day across 4 days. We run a flexi-roster, where your hours will be between 2.30pm and 10.30pm each shift. You will be given typical days however, the days and hours may change periodically, with your roster being provided 4 weeks in advance. There is also the opportunity to pick up additional hours during the week.

- The desire to provide excellent customer service and support your community
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to interpret and respond to client needs effectively
- Proactive and able to search for the answer first, before escalating
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with computer systems, software applications and cloud-based applications
- Reliable and Punctual
- Commitment to engage and complete the organisational training requirements
- Must be flexible and willing to just jump in
- Have a good work ethic and works well within a team or independently
