We are seeking an experienced Foreperson to join our Construction Division based in Dunedin. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of a variety of projects throughout Otago. We specialise in infrastructure construction, based around reinforced concrete. We are currently delivering work ranging from Bridges, Commercial/Industrial Foundations, Wastewater Pump Stations and Retaining Walls.
You will be:
- Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of your crew on civil projects.
- Developing the staff within the crew.
- Engaging with staff and clients daily.
- Ensuring management of a safe work environment and complying with FH H&S policies on all aspects of work.
- Competing all documentation required for the role including time sheets, daily job sheets, pre start inspections, plant usage sheets, quality checklists, hazard IDs.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out skilfully, efficiently, to schedule and to the highest quality standard.

We’re looking for someone with:
- NZ resident or NZ citizen
- Minimum of 8 years’ in civil construction across a variety of projects
- BCITO or equivalent Trade qualified
- Full Class 1 licence
- Full Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement
- Experience and a great understanding in bridge building, piling, temporary works, building retaining structures, concrete formwork, concrete spall repairs and concrete placing/finishing.
- Able to demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to guide and support crews
- Ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers
- A positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
- Passion and commitment to safety in the workplace
- An eye for detail and the drive to deliver a quality job
