What you'll do:
This internship reports to the Engineering Manager - Civil and Dam Safety. Based at our Hamilton office, you will work closely with our civil and dam safety engineers at our Huntly and other sites, gaining hands-on experience in maintenance, asset management, and project support. You'll be involved with a variety of key asset groups, including dams, canals, roads, bridges, tunnels, powerhouse buildings, retaining structures, and both above and below ground drainage networks.
In this role, you'll collaborate with team members to provide engineering support for troubleshooting and investigations across a diverse range of civil and dam assets. You will also contribute to asset management activities such as inspections, condition monitoring, and developing portfolio-wide asset strategies. The internship includes travel to our sites, which may involve overnight stays.

Internship period: November 2025 to February 2026, with some flexibility provided (400 hours to be completed).
What you'll need:
- Enrolled in Bachelor/Diploma of Civil Engineering or Natural Resources or relevant courses
- Applicants must have completed at least one year of their degree program and be enrolled in their second year or higher
- Previous workplace experience is desirable but not a requirement
- Keen to learn, brings a positive attitude and willingness to contribute
- Great communication skills
- Full driver's licence
- Available for the whole internship duration from November 2025 - February 2026.
