We are looking for a dedicated Clinic Coordinator to provide operational leadership and ensure the clinic delivers excellent care and service to our community.
About the RoleAs the Clinic Coordinator, you will be the operational leader of White Cross Northmed based in Northcote, Auckland. You’ll oversee daily service delivery, support clinical teams, and ensure smooth operations across the clinic. This is a people-focused role where you will build a positive workplace culture, manage staff development, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
You’ll work closely with the Clinical Lead and wider Tāmaki Health teams to deliver exceptional patient care, efficient clinic operations, and continuous improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Coaching: Build and lead a motivated team that lives Tāmaki Health’s values, manage rosters, train and develop staff, conduct performance reviews, and ensure a positive clinic culture.
Day-to-Day Service Delivery: Ensure all consultations are delivered and invoiced accurately, support best practices for quality care, oversee equipment and facility maintenance, and monitor performance targets.
Exceptional Patient Care: Oversee patient flow and waiting times, handle concerns and complaints, and ensure confidentiality.
Clinic Operations: Manage staff rosters within budget, oversee enrolments, and communicate new processes or protocols.
Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain Cornerstone and Urgent Care accreditation, manage audits, recalls, and ensure valid staff certifications.
Communication: Foster clear communication across the clinic and wider network, attending meetings and training as required.
Health & Safety: Ensure safety for staff, contractors, patients, and visitors, reporting and mitigating risks in line with policies.
Treaty of Waitangi: Commit to respecting Te Tiriti o Waitangi and work to achieve health equity outcomes.
What You BringQualifications, Skills & Knowledge
Degree level or equivalent experience; a Diploma in Business is desirable.
Advanced clinical knowledge, with at least 2 years’ post-graduate experience in ED, GP, or Urgent Care (preferred).
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to adapt communication style, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
Proficiency in aligning strategies, managing change, and achieving outcomes.
Excellent organisational, planning, and prioritisation skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Personal Attributes
Pragmatic, action-oriented, and outcome-focused.
Logical thinker who can balance big-picture strategy with detail.
Other Requirements
Legal right to work in New Zealand (essential).
Commitment to health equity and cultural competency, with understanding of Tikanga Māori, Kawa Māori, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Compliance with the Vulnerable Children Act 2014.
