OST Food Ltd, T/A Noodle Canteen Pukekohe. We serve delicious, freshly cooked noodles and other meals. We are now seeking two Cooks to join our busy team, providing high-quality food and service. You will work at least 30 hours a week, up to a maximum of 40 hours a week.
The job involves the following tasks and duties:
- Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant.
- Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary.
- Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Assisting in improving dishes.
- Assisting in managing the overall operation of the kitchen.
- Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks.
- Ensuring the kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.
To qualify for the job:
- At least two years of work experience in the Kitchen is needed.
- A certificate in a Cookery-related field, or a bachelor's degree in any major, can replace the required work experience.
- Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
- You may be required to work during the weekend.
- You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hands is thoroughly clean.
