Mo tenei turanga - about the role
This role will help to support the Capability Manager within the Data and Analytics Directorate. Your role will be to help connect across the organisation and to aid in the uptake of data literacy and the greater use of data and analytics to inform organisational decision making. Day to day you will:
- Support in the growth of data literacy across the organisation and assist in data literacy change management programmes of work
- Proactively engage with stakeholders across the organisation and be a contact point for end-users engaging with the Data and Analytics Directorate.
- Assist with the maintenance of our data user community SharePoint site
- Create training documentation on Power BI and Snowflake
This is a fixed term or secondment position through until 13th April 2026.
Ko tau na i tenei turanga - What you'll bring to the role:
Hit the ground running in this fixed term role using your experience working across a complex organisation. Use your ability to translate technical information into plain language for a wide range of stakeholders. You will have a passion for using data and experience using relevant programmes such as Power BI, Snowflake, SQL or ArcGIS. You will have a drive and initiative to proactively problem solve.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will:
- Experience advising in a technical field, preferably in the data and analytics field
- Experience using and training on Power BI
- Strong relationship building with the ability to coach and mentor a wide range of stakeholders
- Prior experience creating training or development resources
- SQL and Snowflake experience would be an advantage
The salary range for this role is $83,155 - $92,394 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
