Destined to become an iconic part of Auckland's skyline, NZICC will stand alongside landmarks like the Sky Tower to symbolise the city's ambition and global connectivity. NZICC is seeking a Senior Event Planner to join our dynamic team in Auckland. This is a pivotal role where you'll take ownership of large-scale, high-profile events, working with top-tier clients and stakeholders to deliver unforgettable experiences.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
You'll work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure every event is executed to the highest standard. From planning logistics and upselling services to managing client relationships and ensuring compliance, you'll play a key role in delivering world-class experiences at NZICC.
- Coordinating and executing events in collaboration with the Event Delivery and Operations teams.
- Managing client relationships and conducting site inspections.
- Identifying upselling opportunities to support revenue targets.
- Preparing event plans, reports, and handovers for internal teams.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety and host responsibility requirements.
- Using Momentus software to manage all event-related information.
Mōu | About You
You're an experienced event professional with a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences. You're a confident communicator, a strong negotiator, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proven experience planning large-scale events (500+ attendees).
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of successful event delivery.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence in decision-making and upselling.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in tourism, hospitality, or business.
- Bonus: Experience with Momentus, EventDraw or AutoCAD
