Position Title: Farm Manager
Salary Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Farm Manager to lead our daily operations, ensuring the effective management of crops, resources, and staff to achieve our production and quality targets.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in farm or horticultural management; or
- A relevant Level 5 qualification or higher (e.g., NZQF Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, or related field).
- Strong knowledge of crop production, soil health, irrigation systems, and pest and disease control.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team of farm staff and contractors.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Sound understanding of health and safety compliance in agricultural operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and farm management software.
- Current driver’s licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and post-harvest handling.
- Manage and supervise staff to ensure productivity, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor crop performance and implement strategies to maximise yield and quality.
- Maintain irrigation systems and ensure efficient water management.
- Develop and manage budgets, monitor costs, and procure supplies and equipment.
- Keep accurate records of crop production, staffing, and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and workplace health and safety laws.
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and clients to meet operational and market requirements.
