The Corporate and Shared Service (CSS) directorate sits within Te Tai Ōhanga - The Treasury and plays a lead role in supporting the vision of multiple state sector agencies including the Treasury, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Climate Change Commission.
Broadly, the directorate provides services in multiple areas, including but not limited to financial management, people and wellbeing, information management and information technology. This shared service supports a State sector wide objective to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of government, ensuring it has the resilience, capability and values that underpin organisational success.
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role
We are seeking two talented and self-motivated Desktop Analysts to join our busy IT Essential Business team responsible for all customer interactions related to the day-to-day support of our desktop services across the Treasury and DPMC on a six month fixed terms contracts due to internal secondments.
In this varied role, no two days are the same and you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to resolve complex IT enquires. You will need a wide breath of technical expertise and a solid track record of exceeding customers' expectations.
Occasional travel will be required as part of this role.

- Excellent technical skills with 3 years (minimum) relevant industry experience
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to translate technical and non-technical information to a range of audiences
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong focus on end-to-end ownership of issues
- A proven ability to build strong relationships across a range of stakeholders
- You're curious, love technology and enjoy learning
- Self-managing, team player who goes about their work with passion

We will be looking to appoint the successful candidate into the role with a remuneration of between $78,000 - $92,000 dependent on skills and experience.
