Are you a results-driven leader ready to shape the future of workforce capability and leadership at MBIE?

We are looking for an experienced and strategic people leader to join our People Culture branch as Head of Leadership, Talent and Growth. This role is central to developing and embedding the systems, frameworks, and tools that build leadership depth and workforce capability across the Ministry.

As Head of Leadership, Talent and Growth, you'll be responsible for setting direction and leading a team of professionals to deliver practical, high-impact solutions across:

  • Leadership and performance development
  • Succession planning and talent pipeline management
  • Enterprise learning solutions and capability uplift
  • Workforce mobility and career pathways
  • Strategic workforce capability planning aligned with MBIE's future needs

You'll work closely with senior leaders, public sector partners and internal stakeholders to ensure our people systems are high-performing, scalable, and aligned with MBIE's priorities and the wider machinery of government.
