As Housing Solutions Partner, you will lead activity to identify, assess, and monitor the delivery of housing solutions in places, ensuring these reflect the needs and aspirations of places, and align to national strategies, plans, and settings.

This includes:

  • Work with local communities and partners to understand the local environment, needs and aspirations of a place, and to build a shared understanding of national strategies, plans, and settings, ensuring housing solutions and plans are fit-for-purpose and value-for-money.

  • Maintain robust knowledge of and engage externally on our whole suite of products

  • Lead work to identify and assess housing solutions; in particular, lead options and feasibility analysis, and due diligence in places by bringing together the right expertise from across the organisation - including commercial and contracts, financial and legal capability.

  • Lead work to monitor housing delivery in places against agreed housing strategies, plans and settings. *; Gather and share data, information and insights from places to inform performance monitoring and reporting

  • Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities, and lead appropriate responses, acting as a point of escalation for the resolution of issues within a place.

The salary range for this role is $144,464 - $176,568 +3% Kiwisaver contribution.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience working proactively with local communities and partners to achieve outcomes by building a shared understanding of local environment, needs and aspirations, and how this aligns with national approaches

  • Commercial expertise, with a track record for using a full suite of resources - funding, products, programmes, and tools - to achieve desired housing outcomes

  • A track record for working collaboratively with others, providing quality assurance, and constructively sharing feedback that influences or challenges the direction of travel

  • Proven experience providing high quality insights and advice to executive or senior leaders that align to organisational priorities, ideally in the public service

  • Sound business acumen, with experience contributing to the development and delivery of strategic and operational plans and processes, and driving change

  • Proven experience leading and contributing to organisational initiatives, bringing the right people together to achieve the right outcomes, and leading, coaching and mentoring others in an inclusive way

  • Sound knowledge of government and public sector processes

  • A track record of making quality decisions within your area of responsibility

  • A proven ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, navigate issues and solve problems

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and leverage relationships and partner with colleagues and others across the public and private sectors to achieve shared outcomes

  • Proven skills, experience and knowledge that align to the responsibilities and outcomes of the role.
