We're on the lookout for a dynamic and approachable Information Adviser - Records to be a key member of our highly respected Knowledge and Information team.

This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2026 and is based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

Mo te turanga | About the role

As the go-to person for document and records support, you'll play a central role in helping staff make the most of our iManage document management system, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 tools. From onboarding new team members with tailored training to assisting our IS helpdesk with everyday records queries, your work will be varied, impactful, and people-focused.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes our Chief Data Officer and three Senior Advisers in Wellington (specialising in information management and library/research). Together, you'll support the organisation's information needs and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy connecting with people across all levels of an organisation and have a knack for making systems training engaging, whether in person or online. Your strong relationship skills and enthusiasm for technology and information management will help you succeed and grow.

The indicative salary range for this role is $78,875 to $92,794plus 3% KiwiSaver employer contribution. The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects their individual skills, experience, and internal relativities across the organisation.

  • Attention to Detail and Analytical Thinking: Demonstrates accuracy, a methodical approach, curiosity, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Maintains a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive or classified information.
  • Interpersonal and Relationship-Building Skills: Builds strong working relationships and communicates effectively across teams and organisational levels.
  • Training and Facilitation Expertise: Experienced in delivering systems training in both face-to-face and online formats.
  • Records and Document Management Knowledge: Possesses experience or a keen interest in records management and proficiency with document management systems.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Has a solid understanding of the Records Management Act 2005 and its practical applications.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiar with document management systems such as iManage, SharePoint and/or Office 365 platforms (preferred but not essential).
