About the Role
This position is a varied role within a very busy service. The administrator supports the Clinical Team in
Medical Day Ward Kenepuru with booking FSA appointments, booking and rebooking patients for their infusions, having 2 outpatient clinics in the department checking these patients in for clinic and infusions if required on the day or when required.
Answering phones, taking messages for clinical staff, liaising with SMO - s managing emails, managing referrals.
About the Team/Service
Medical Day Ward is in the Outpatients area of Kenepuru Community Hospital. This service is a very important service to the wider community. We support Blood and Cancer in Wellington being able to give our local community and Kapiti Community their infusions for their treatment instead of having to go into Wellington Hospital. The salary range is Band 5 Step 1 $75,201 - $83,092 Step 6.
About you
- Able to multitask, be able to put something aside and able to go back this to finish your task
- Relate well with patients, SMO - s and Clinical staff
- Have a good phone manner being polite and sensitive on the phone
- Important to have empathy
- Being positive always being polite and having an eye for detail is essential
