The Logistics Process Lead is responsible for managing and optimizing the inbound logistics process for raw materials. This role ensures the timely cost-effective and compliant delivery, storage and handling of raw materials required for manufacturing and production. We’re re-investing in our Logistics operations at Wiri, which will include a brand new, state-of-the art Raw Materials warehouse including new systems, this newly created position will play a key role in the successful transition and continued operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include:-
- Oversee end-to-end logistics processes for inbound raw materials from suppliers to storage or production areas.
- Optimise Inventory levels and occupancy to ensure zero down time to manufacturing
- Analyse logistics data and lead initiatives to improve delivery performance, reduce costs, and minimize delays
- Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving and quality inspection issues.
- Drive process and systems improvements that positively impact order management, inventory management, and dashboard measures *SOP and standard work implementation for all tasks both internal and 3PL.
- Identifies inventory handling process gaps and work with various stake holders to streamline them

We’re looking for an individual with a strong operational experience in warehousing and inventory who has worked closely with transport and 3PL’s. This role will manage the transition to the new warehouse & systems implementations so we’re looking for someone who has successfully managed similar projects. With strong organisational skills you can effectively manage often competing priorities. Working with a range of internal & external customers you will have well-honed written and verbal communication skill with the ability to influence, negotiate and effectively manage change at all levels.
