Our team is based out of our head office in Penrose enjoy not only a location with easy motorway access but being situated in the heart of Freightways, you can see what’s happening on the floor live. About our team:
Joining an established team of 3 developers and a QA engineer, we need an experienced Product Owner who has their eyes on the product line, understand our customers’ needs and can prioritise work ensuring we maximise value delivered to our customers. This Product owner role will see you collaborating with engaged and highly skilled individuals from your scrum team to colleagues and internal customers.
The Role
- Work with business stakeholders, product managers and development teams to ensure the successful delivery of the prioritised objectives. This will include:
- Ensuring clear, common understanding and documentation of objectives
- Maintain a sufficient backlog of well-prepared, estimated, prioritised work that meets the definition of ready
- Lead Sprint Planning to ensure team sprints are well planned, have a realistic time frame and make efficient use of the team’s resources
- Efficiently communicate with the team to understand the progress towards the sprint goal, and help removing impediments to delivery
- Work with the Development Manager, Practice Leads and team members to create an environment that embraces a growth mindset, agile practices and continuously improves in ways that enable the team to deliver “sooner, safer, happier”
- Collect and present metrics that provide insight into the delivery of value
- Identify bottlenecks, and implement experiments for improvement
- Maintain excellent relationships with the team, promoting a “we all win together” culture

- Demonstrable experience of Product ownership and agile mindset
- Experience with data platforms and Business Intelligence solutions
- Experience in creating measurable business value through digital and non-digital products
