Te Tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for a Quality Assessor to join our Pacific Plant, in Whakatu, near Hastings. You’ll provide assurance that food safety and quality systems are implemented effectively and performing as required. This role covers monitoring, verification checks, microbiological sampling, and supporting compliance audits.
Key responsibilities:
- Verify compliance with HACCP, customer, and OMAR requirements
- Carry out microbiological sampling and temperature monitoring
- Support and verify corrective actions following audits and non-conformances
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring traceability and compliance
- Provide technical support to supervisors, QA staff, and production teams
- Report quality or compliance issues and escalate as required
This role operates during our Evening Shift, which is Monday to Friday, between 3:00pm and 12:00am
Ōu Pūkenga | About You
You’ll bring a willingness to learn and knowledge of food safety and compliance standards. Ideally gained in the red meat industry. You’ll be detail-oriented, accurate in your record keeping, and able to balance commercial and compliance requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
You will bring:
- Willingness to learn knowledge of food safety, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in food production, ideally in the meat or FMCG industry
