About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Radiology Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of imaging services across Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital.
In this leadership role, you - ll balance the demands of day-to-day service management with driving service improvement and innovation. Working alongside the Group Manager and Clinical Director, you will be accountable for operational planning, performance, and resource management, with a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equity in access to diagnostic imaging.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading operational planning and performance across Radiology services in two hospital sites.
- Supporting and embedding service improvement, innovation, and Te Tiriti-based practice.
- Ensuring safe, sustainable care that meets service targets and improves patient experience.
- Managing staffing, budgets, equipment resources, and operational risks.
About the Team/Service
Radiology at Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, general X-ray, and interventional procedures. As part of a busy and high-demand environment, the service supports acute, outpatient, and regional specialist care for communities across the lower North Island.
About you
You are an accomplished health leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, equitable imaging services. You excel at building strong relationships, leading teams, and navigating complex operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for:
- A relevant business or health qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in senior operational leadership in health, ideally in diagnostic services
- Proven ability to manage complex services, budgets, and resources
- Commitment to improving Māori health outcomes and embedding Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
