About the position
On 1 July 2025, GNS and NIWA merged to become Earth Sciences New Zealand. ESNZ Aquaculture Limited is a subsidiary of Earth Sciences New Zealand. In this position you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by providing comprehensive support to the aquaculture team and management. Your responsibilities will span across diary and travel coordination, procurement and logistics, data entry and reporting, compliance documentation, and stakeholder communication. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a pioneering project in sustainable aquaculture, where your attention to detail and proactive approach will make a real impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for providing administrative support, managing schedules, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth execution of meetings and reporting tasks. * Assist with purchasing, track deliveries, manage travel bookings, and coordinate courier services.
- Supporting health & safety, biosecurity and environmental compliance. Manage harvest/export documentation and invoices.
- Support recruitment processes, including onboarding, induction coordination, and management of contractor documentation.

- Experience in health and safety administration
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft office 365 software, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
