Our Digital team works with both external and internal clients, helping them solve real world, complex and unique problems to make everyday better. We use Beca’s century of experience in engineering, advisory and design to help our clients shape communities, optimise their assets and streamline their operations. We are accelerating our internal digital transformation, helping teams across the business to grow their market-led services, while also driving internal innovation.

Our Digital Consultant roles are varied, dynamic and rewarding. You will be working with a motivated team of consultants with a wide range of skills and experience. This role will enable you to apply your project management, business analysis, and product thinking skills in a real-world setting, helping with the delivery of digital projects both in New Zealand and globally. Our clients work with us to leverage a variety of off the shelf platforms, along with our own software solutions, to solve problems that make our digital consulting roles inspiring and unique.

This role involves working on both our internal digital enablement initiatives and external projects with our clients. It will involve the scoping and design of complex digital problems and managing small multi-disciplinary teams to deliver real solutions. With a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork, you will be a part of a passionate team with a strong culture of inclusion, coaching and support.

You will enjoy working across different projects, industries, and disciplines to develop and deliver solutions and new digital offerings. You will enjoy being the person who others come to for guidance and advice, with the ability to build out a clients’ understanding of how a digital approach can add value to a project. You will enjoy working in the engineering and asset management domain, or, if new to the industry, interested in growing your understanding and exposure to requirements and opportunities that clients in these industries encounter.

We encourage applicants to consider this role and invite applications from a diverse range of backgrounds or people who meet the following criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience, in the IT and digital domain, in roles such as business analysis, product ownership, or project management
  • Ability to connect with clients, build lasting client relationships and facilitate technology-based discussions
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to translate between clients, the business, and technical team members
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, preferably with exposure to waterfall, agile, and hybrid methodologies
  • Ability to define requirements at the business, user and system level, preferably with the ability to work directly with software developers and configuration experts to build solutions
  • Experience in the Microsoft, Esri, Autodesk or Bentley technology stacks is preferred but not required
  • Domain interest in engineering/asset management is helpful, but curiosity and a learning mindset matter most
