Position Title: Facilities Manager
Salary Range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Minimum Guaranteed Hours of Work: 30–50 hours per week
Location: Waikato, New Zealand
Start Date: As soon as possible
Sach Lakvir Limited is a growing organisation committed to maintaining safe, efficient, and high-quality facilities across our operations in the Waikato region. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day management, upkeep, and improvement of our facilities and related services.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar role; or
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or higher in facilities management, property services, construction, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with contractors, staff, and external providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with initiative and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, plant, and equipment.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure quality and timely work.
- Monitor facility budgets and manage cost-effective operations.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, contracts, and compliance documents.
- Respond promptly to urgent issues affecting staff, clients, or business operations.
- Support senior management in planning facility improvements or expansions.
- Supervise and coordinate cleaning, security, and maintenance staff as required.
