Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
This role sits within the Divisional Performance Team within Finance. We support delivery of the finance strategy, being a trusted partner on Leadership Teams, providing insights and analytics to support the achievement of financial goals.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team, demonstrating strong analytical experience within Finance and have worked previously within a large organisation.
What are the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?
- Supporting Business Partners by delivering accurate and timely forecasting and analysis.
- Presenting insights that will drive commercial decisions.
- Investigating issues and creating solutions.
- Month end tasks form a relatively small but critical part of the role.
What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
You'll be a Finance Analyst or demonstrate strong analytical experience within finance. We are ideally seeking someone with experience within banking or financial services, otherwise you will have worked within a large organisation prior. You'll be results focused, curious & commercially astute, but the role also requires a strong attention to detail and a good track record of engaging with stakeholders all levels of the business, reporting findings and challenging the status quo. We are looking for:
- Previous experience within a Finance Analyst or similar role.
- At least 3 years' experience gained in a large corporate, or within financial services/banking.
- Sound understanding of financial management policies and methodologies.
- Ability to convey complex issues into simple language for others to comprehend.
- Ideally a degree qualified in finance, accounting or business and a financial qualification such as CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred, although not essential.

The team is hard working, while also being very supportive and fun. There is a lot of experience in the team, with people willing to pass on their insights and experience.
