Job Description: Site Manager (Horticulture)
Position Available: Site Manager
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Bay of Plenty Region
Payrate: $30 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 35
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 45
Key Requirements:
At least Level 4 or above qualification, OR at least 2 years or more of experience.
Proven ability to supervise and coordinate teams in orchard, crop, or plantation environments
Strong knowledge of crop production cycles, machinery use, and health & safety regulations
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day horticultural tasks.
Oversee workforce on multiple sites, manage rosters, and ensure productivity and compliance with work plans
Monitor crop health, environmental conditions, pest and disease risks, and initiate corrective action where required
Ensure safe and efficient use of machinery, tools, and equipment; enforce site health and safety protocols
Train staff in best practice horticultural techniques and standard operating procedures
Maintain accurate records for labour, production metrics, equipment use, and incident reports
Provide regular progress updates to senior management and contribute to seasonal planning
