Join Our Team as Waiting Staff – KIWI GRUB LIMITED
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and serve them promptly while ensuring presentation standards.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, or complaints professionally and courteously.
- Set up tables with proper utensils, napkins, and condiments, and clear them promptly after use.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including floors, tables, and serving stations.
- Be familiar with menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary options to advise guests effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification/Work Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience OR a recognised NZQF Certificate/Diploma in Hospitality.
- Must be available for split shifts depending on workload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Positive attitude, punctuality, and flexibility with working hours.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards will be an advantage.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
