About the Role
We have a vacancy for a hospital-based Clinical Coder, or a person with suitable clinical qualifications who is willing to train in this field.

About you
The position requires a person experienced in using ID-10-AM and the 3M Codefinder software, with the knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology required of a competent coder, and with a recognised clinical coding qualification or current study.
Alternatively, a person with a clinical background including a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, willing to retrain, will be considered. Good administrative and computer skills are required. This person must be prepared to undertake on-going study, including at least one 12-month distance-learning course, to obtain the qualifications necessary for the position.
A proven record of commitment to accuracy and attention to detail is essential, along with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. The person we require must work well within a team environment and have a willingness to meet service requirements. This position requires a commitment to the confidentiality of patient information.
