Mo te tūranga | About The role:

Of the three levels of Data Analysts in the remediation program, this is the mid-level Data Analyst position in the team where you will likely develop skills to transition up to the Senior Insights Specialist role, our top-level data analyst role. The senior role has more responsibility for providing guidance and support to others that helps build their capability and knowledge, also included is advanced stakeholder/project management capabilities.


As a dedicated resource to ASB Remediation, you will work as part of a team with both senior and junior Data Analysts to seek, wrangle and deliver data where ASB can repay customers for mistakes they have made in the past. As you grow in your role more leadership / senior responsibilities will be expected of you.


As someone who is passionate about data and insights, you will get to work on a variety of remediation projects. You will be a key influencer and contributor to analytics assessment, planning and delivery of these projects. It is an exciting and challenging environment where data accuracy is as close to 100% as possible.

As naturally curious and proactive senior analytics professional you'll be able to bring:

  • Advanced SQL analytical skills
  • Experience with complex SQL projects, in particular using MS SQL/Transact SQL
  • Good verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced analytical skills, able to work with complex data to deliver meaningful, relevant, actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving skills, comfortable working in complex, challenging environments.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to groups.
  • Outcome orientated, persistence to challenge the status quo and deliver customer results.
  • Skills typically proven with 5 years or more of SQL based delivery experience.
