Hon David Seymour, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Regulation, and Associate Minister of Education, Finance, Health, and Justice, is seeking a highly capable and trusted Ministerial Advisor to join his team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a senior Minister's office, providing strategic political advice that directly influences Government policy and outcomes.
About the Role
As Ministerial Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Minister across diverse and high-impact portfolios. You'll be relied upon to:
- Provide timely, high-quality political and strategic advice
- Navigate complex issues and contribute to effective decision-making
- Build strong relationships with officials, stakeholders, and parliamentary colleagues
- Manage a dynamic workload including policy review, OIA requests, written parliamentary questions, and legislative support
Your ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and operate with discretion and independence will be key to your success. You'll be part of a fast-paced environment where your insights and judgement will help shape the Government's agenda.

- Demonstrates sound political judgement and a high level of integrity
A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a ministerial office or Government department is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Minister's portfolios will be a strong advantage.

Role Details
- Type: Events-based (aligned with the 3-year parliamentary term)
- Location: Wellington
- Salary Band: $114,039 - $141,915 per annum (based on skills, experience, and internal parity)
Eligibility
