Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role

We are interested to hear from highly skilled and experienced Administrators who are looking to expand their skillset. This role supports members of our community, enabling them to access specialist healthcare services.

Our National Travel Assistance Coordinators assist with arranging transport and/or accommodation to allow patients from the Eastern Bay of Plenty to attend and receive services which are in other parts of the country. You will be working alongside clinical staff to support these patients and their whānau so that we can work to reduce inequities in service provision.

Working at Whakatāne Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting provision of Allied Health services to our communities. This is a permanent part-time position working 20 hours per week.

About the Location

Boasting some of the most sunlight hours in New Zealand, Whakatāne offers award winning beaches for both surf and fun. Be still and listen to the native bird chorus in our bush clad walkways, plus swim in the cleanest freshwater lakes around. Come join our team who are already enjoying a uniquely rewarding lifestyle outside of the main cities. Whakatāne is small but mighty, featuring all the things you need whilst remaining within easy travel to Tauranga and Rotorua for that little bit extra.
