Current Vacancies

Teacher of Digital Technology / Head of Digital Technology

We are seeking an inspired educator to join our Technology faculty in the Middle (Years 7-10) and Senior (Years 11-13) Schools, either as a teacher or HoD. Please state your preference. Either way, this will be a full-time, permanent appointment commencing in Term 1, January 2026, or earlier by negotiation.

With a national and international reputation for excellence, Scots College is a world-class independent school with a strong Presbyterian Heritage. It is a fully co-education, IB World School in the eastern suburbs of Wellington, New Zealand, and comprises three schools in one: Junior (Years 1-6), Middle (Years 7-10), and Senior (Years 11-13). We provide our students with an excellent and holistic education within a vibrant learning environment with the aim of allowing them to contribute as global citizens who think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively, and develop the necessary skills to learn. For life.

Scots College offers a dual pathway for senior students (NCEA and IB Diploma) and is authorised for the delivery of the Diploma and Middle Years Programmes. Experience teaching either/both programmes would be advantageous.

Applicants should ideally have:

  • The ability to support the delivery of the e-Learning strategy
  • Experience using Mātauranga Māori concepts
  • A passion for their subject area, and the ability to inspire their students
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • A desire to foster excellence and manage and motivate students and staff
  • A passion for the education of young people
  • The ability to contribute to and be supportive of new ideas
  • A commitment to our special character and co-curricular programmes
  • A commitment to the College’s desire to promote international mindedness and multi-cultural understanding, and the wellbeing of students
  • Experience leading an important curriculum area (for the HoD role)

If you are motivated by the prospect of being a part of a dynamic teaching environment and would enjoy the challenges of this exciting role, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Applications close on Friday 8 August 2025, and are to include a covering letter and current CV (stating teacher certification details, all teaching subjects, and at least the last five years of work history. Please also provide details of at least two referees).

Applications are to be submitted electronically to:
