Currently, our South Island 3PL business division is seeking a motivated individual to support a team of warehouse staff in a fast-paced and growing industry.
The Role
The main responsibility of the job is to assist the warehousing and yard team in providing excellent service to our customers. The job demands an individual with hands-on experience in operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
Duties are varied and will include:
- Leading the operational performance and behaviour of all 3PL team members.
- Leading safety by ensuring all H&S policies and SOPs are adhered to.
- Carrying out regular safety talks and completing a daily toolbox/coordination meeting.
- Maintaining adherence to warehousing and devanning duties, specifically around the technology requirements.
- Supporting the Office and Operations team with administration tasks
- Ensuring that appropriate machinery and equipment are available and being operated safely.
The skills & personal attributes we look for:
- Practical experience operating forklifts, devanning/unpacking containers and working in a warehouse environment.
- A champion for health and safety.
- Ability to work under pressure with multiple and competing deadlines.
- Computer and technology savvy.
