The Opportunity;
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to support our Kaitaia Depot on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering key short-term projects that will help us meet Ministry of Education (MOE) and Hastus deadlines, and put in place more efficient processes for the future.

Ritchies is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading passenger transport companies with a team of more than 2,000 people providing coach and charter services right across the country.
We partner with regional councils and schools to supply public transport services as well as offering a range of bus and coach hire services to businesses and the general public. You would be joining us at an exciting time in Ritchies’ history as we gear up to decarbonise our fleet and move to a more sustainable public transport model.
What you'll be doing;
You'll be responsible for completing time-bound tasks with clear deliverables, including:
- Finalising outstanding run sheets for MOE and extension route
Reviewing and completing geofence work already underway
Gathering and loading data into Hastus
Preparing school packs with route maps and run sheets
Creating communication trees for schools to manage disruptions (e.g. weather events or breakdowns)
Organising and tidying admin files in Bamboo, including reviewing naming conventions and helping with IEA-related file updates if needed
What we're looking for;
Strong Word and Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confidence working independently and following up on tasks
A detail-focused mindset and ability to meet deadlines
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to get things running smoothly and is happy to take ownership of short-term projects.
