Te Kaunihera aa Takiwaa o Waikato (Waikato District Council) serves a large and diverse area, key towns include Raglan, Huntly, Ngaaruawaahia, Tuakau and Te Kauwhata. Smaller settlements include Gordonton, Matangi, Tamahere, Meremere, Port Waikato and Pookeno.

About this role:

At Waikato District Council digital and information are seen as critical assets that underpin our delivery of services, enhance our operational efficiency, & empower informed decision-making. We are 4 years into our Digital Transformation journey and are about to commence the Optimisation phase of the plan where we will drive transformation across our council through leveraging technology enablers.

We are committed to innovation, excellence, and moving at pace, and we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated ERP Functional Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ERP systems, business analysis, and process improvement. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective ERP solutions.

What I do?

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document ERP requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement through both changing Ways of Working or leveraging technology enablers.
  • Develop functional specifications and configure ERP systems to meet business needs.
  • Work with the Solution Architect and our Application & Integration Support Specialist to ensure ERP solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Assist Business Owners with their user acceptance testing and provide support during ERP system implementation.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ERP systems.

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in ERP systems and business analysis.

What I bring?

We would envision that you will have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or Support Analyst role supporting & enhancing ERP systems.
  • Proven experience as an ERP Functional Analyst or in a similar role. Strong understanding of both business operations and technical aspects. Proficiency in ERP systems such as TechnologyOne, SAP, or Infor. TechnologyOne experience is highly preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • High level of experience working within an DevOps environment where the organisation has a multi-vendor SaaS strategy.
  • Extensive experience delivering clear & concise Requirements/Design/As-Bult Documentation which is ais easily understood by technical & non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working within a DevOps, Agile, and Waterfall project delivery environment.
  • Knowledge of process optimization and deployment.
