Quality & Compliance Specialist
We're looking for a Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team based in Wiri, at the Auckland Processing Centre. In this role, you'll help ensure we remain compliant across key areas including aviation security, border security, regulatory frameworks and internal quality standards.
Korero mo te turanga - About the role
Working as part of a team, you'll report to and support the Operational Compliance Manager by coordinating and executing compliance and quality assurance activities. While the core hours of the role are Monday to Friday 8.30 - 5pm, our site is a 24/7 operation and as such, we do require a level of flexibility.
You'll work across multiple systems, audits, and training programs-covering everything from CAA and MPI standards to internal audits and SOP management.
This includes:
- Managing site compliance activities (and acting as the Senior) for Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), NZ Customs (CCA), and MPI standards, as well as the Nominated Delegate for our transitional facility
- Leading, supporting and closing out internal and external audits and investigations
- Maintaining security systems, SOPs, and all regulatory documentation
- Supporting training compliance, document control and the ongoing improvement of procedures
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are followed through
- Assisting the Compliance manager with International Postal compliance
Mou - About you
You're someone who's confident navigating complex operational environments and thrives on keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You combine this with having a solid foundation in compliance and quality assurance, ideally with experience in sectors such as logistics, operations, or border security, and you understand what it takes to meet high regulatory standards day in and day out.
You know how to turn rules and regulations into clear, workable procedures, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to help teams understand and apply them. You're a strong communicator - calm under pressure, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and across different shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
You're organised, reliable, and have a knack for spotting risks before they become problems. It would be incredibly beneficial if you also:
- Are familiar with MPI or outbound CAA regulations and what compliance looks like in those spaces
- Have had exposure to highly regulated industries
