Looking for a leadership role where you can make a real impact? At DOC, we're on a journey to strengthen our financial systems - and we need a skilled and driven finance leader to help guide the way.
As Team Lead Accounts, you'll lead DOC's Accounts Payable Team, playing a central role in both day-to-day finance operations and the development and improvement of our Financial Management Information System (FMIS).
Reporting to the Financial Accounting & Transaction Manager, you'll coordinate team priorities, ensure accurate and timely financial processing, and contribute to high-level planning. You'll engage with colleagues across finance and the wider organisation, ensuring customer needs are met and system improvements are well-integrated into team workflows. This is a key leadership role that balances operational excellence with strategic change management.
The position will be focussed on:
- Lead the Accounts Payable Team, coordinating workflow, priorities, and resource planning
- Manage Departmental and Crown AP processes, including supporting the P2P process and ensuring the government payment times metric is met.
- Support FMIS development and improvement within the AP team, contributing to system design and efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and internal SOPs, including risk and issues reporting
- Build a high-performing, customer-focused team culture through coaching, development, and performance management

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you:
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems and processes, including experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Proven experience in Accounts Payable and P2P in a large or complex organisation
- Demonstrated ability to lead system/process implementation to enhance operational efficiency
- Experienced, emotionally intelligent people leader, able to inspire performance, accountability, and collaboration
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and customer service, with a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent organisational skills - able to plan, prioritise and deliver to deadlines
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements (GAAP, SOPs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders

The salary range for this position is $92,450.00 - $116,985.00 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
