Account Manager - Timaru

At MediaWorks, we're passionate about connecting brands with audiences who are loyal, engaged, and ready to tune in. With our powerhouse platforms across radio, digital, and out-of-home (OOH), we create campaigns that cut through the noise - and we're looking for an Account Manager in Timaru who can bring that same energy to our clients.

What you'll be doing:

As our new Account Manager, you'll:

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with local businesses and clients.
  • Sell innovative advertising solutions across radio, digital, and OOH platforms.
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities to grow revenue.
  • Develop tailored campaigns that align with client goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Enter and manage sales activity, leads, and client details in Salesforce/CRM.
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitive activity to provide clients with fresh ideas.
  • Manage your pipeline, forecast accurately, and meet (or smash!) monthly sales targets.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service - quickly resolving queries and keeping clients in the loop.
  • Represent MediaWorks in the community, building your network and reputation.

What we're looking for:

We're after someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing role. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 1-2 years of sales experience (media sales experience is a bonus).
  • A proven ability - to hit targets and grow revenue.
  • Excellent communication skills - confident in presenting ideas and building trust.
  • Strong relationship-building skills - with the ability to understand client needs and turn them into solutions.
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset - with the drive to hunt out new opportunities.
  • A love of collaboration - you're a team player who lifts those around you.
  • Tech confidence - comfortable using Salesforce or other CRM tools.
