About the Role
As the Site Operations Manager you will play a crutial role in managing and overseeing the day to day operation of Facilities Management across Auckland within the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG). You'll be responsible for implementing planned preventative maintenance plans ensuring Auckland District site facilities assets are maintained, operated, and reviewed in accordance with its Asset Management Plans and Operational standards.
This role is ideal for a well organised co-ordinator who can execute plans and manage a high level of engagement across multiple teams as well as senior leadership, sub-contractors and several external stakeholders.

The IIG team are focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system. Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.
About you
You have a solid and broad understanding of facilities and building maintenance and are able to proactively manage staff and contractors with ease. With over a decade of experience in multi trade environments, you will have a detailed understanding of Mechanical Plant operation and maintenance requirements for organisations while adhering to time constraints and budgets.
Your success will be driven through your ability to communicate and develop positive relationships with stakeholders whilst juggling multiple complex tasks and requests simultaneously.
You understand the importance of not only executing results but upholding a culturally responsive leadership and passion about ensuring safe work environments are at the forefront.
You will bring:
- At least 10 years practical, post trade experience in a multi trade environment ideally in a campus, portfolio type or critical service environment where all-round engineering and building maintenance knowledge was essential.
- At least 5 years' experience proactively managing staff/contractors, together with a solid and broad understanding of facilities/building maintenance.
- Detailed understanding of Mechanical Plant operation and maintenance requirements.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building skills
- Experience working in multicultural and diverse environments, with a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022
